Hello and welcome

  • I offer counselling in Bath, Corsham, Trowbridge, and online

  • I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I hold an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling (Level 6) from Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC) as well as a degree in Biology from Oxford University

  • I started counselling as a volunteer over 35 years ago, and have worked in a variety of settings, alongside a long career in business and charity management

  • "Humanistic and Integrative" translated means that I believe you have your answers within you, and my role is to help you find them by listening kindly to you, gently understanding you to the best of my ability, and using other therapeutic approaches I am trained in, where I feel they might help

  • I aim to provide a space where you can feel truly seen and heard as you work through what brings you there.  I will not judge, direct or compel you, rather will walk alongside you with a metaphorical torch, illuminating whatever you wish to look at as we go

  • My view is that it is the relationship client and therapist build together, and the attunement therein, that most influences therapeutic outcomes, and I strive to provide the conditions for us to do this successfully

  • It is important that you find the right therapist for you.  My own experience of seeking therapy is trawling a wealth of excellent, extensive websites and finding it hard to distinguish between them.  I feel that meeting people offers a better perspective

  • If you are considering counselling, I would love to hear from you if you would like to explore whether I would be right for you, and how we might work together

  • My fee is £60 for a 50 minute session
